My experience having Tanesha as my Doula has been educational, refreshing and comforting. She was by my side throughout the whole laboring process, providing distractions, massages, teaching my partner how to best comfort me, working with him to make the whole experience manageable, and of course providing ice chips for me on demand whenever I asked. When every medical professional who was involved in my care doubted I'd be able to deliver naturally and without a c-section, Tanesha believed in me. She fed me words of encouragement and empowered me whenever I was ready to give up, and when we realized the doctors were talking C-section, she and my partner kicked it into high gear and made me do exercises to stimulate my baby's movement downwards into the right cm & station to prepare me for labor. I went in on a Monday at 8am and delivered, vaginally, a beautiful baby girl the following day at 7:14pm, and I could not have done this without Tanesha. 100% would recommend.

We acquired Tanesha Doula postpartum services for the birth of our second child and it was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made! Despite being experienced parents, juggling the constant needs of a newborn and toddler with all of our daily household responsibilities was extremely challenging. Having the doulas provide support a few days a week to help with household chores, meal prep and watching our newborn daughter, really helped maintain our sanity, helped us recharge and allowed us one on one quality time with our toddler (which can be difficult to achieve!). It was so nice to have someone come over to look after this very tired Mom and give her a break for a change! The overnight shifts were a tremendous lifesaver as well, giving everyone much needed continuous rest and energy. Her knowledge and experience were helpful refreshers and great advice for us to ensure quality care for our daughters.

Our doula was a huge support in our first few nights as first time parents. She helped greatly with tips on how to breastfeed more effectively and was very knowledgeable about the proper nutrition needed to keep up milk supply. Her gentle and calming nature helped ease our anxieties and we felt extremely comfortable leaving our son in her care while we were able get a few hours rest.

My experience was a 10/10 she was very attentive during my entire labor process performing different pain relievers to help me get through my contractions. She advocated for me and reminded me of important questions to ask the doctors when needed so I can make informed decisions and explained the information so I understood what was happening. When I thought I couldn’t get through the labor process Tanesha was there with motivational words reminding me that I can. She is the best you could ever have!!!
